Strength Training for New Fitness Center Members
Strength training offers many "positive benefits: it builds power, provides energy, decreases fatigue, and improves mood, self-confidence, and self-esteem. Additional advantages are helping to prevent osteoporosis, burn calories, and balance the body. Mary Halen, the director of your campus fitness center, wants new members to view a presentation on strength training. She gives you the outline shown in Figure 1. You create the text for the presentation on the Outline tab and then search for appropriate clip art to add to the slides. You are unable to find images that are part of the Microsoft Clip Organizer, so you connect to the Internet, obtain clips from the Microsoft Office Online Web site, and create the slides shown in Figure 2. The clips you find may vary from the clips shown in Figure 2. You refine the presentation using an animation scheme and custom animation effects.
Instructions: Perform the following tasks.
- Create a new presentation using the Slit design template and the outline in Figure 1.
- On the title slide, insert and size both clip art images shown in Figure 2. Add the Fly In Entrance custom animation effect and change the speed to Medium.
- On Slide 2, change the slide layout to Title, 2 Content and Text. Insert the clips shown in Figure 2. Add the Fly In Entrance custom animation effect for the top image and change the direction to From Top, Add the Fly In Entrance custom animation effect for the bottom image. Size the clips if necessary.
- On Slide 3, insert the clip shown in Figure 2. Add the Spin Emphasis custom animation effect. Size the clip if necessary.
- Change the slide layout on Slide 4 (Figure 2) to Title and Content over Text. Insert the clip art image shown. Add the Box Entrance custom animation effect. Size the clip if necessary.
- Display your name and the current date in the outline header; and display the page number and the name of your school in the outline footer.
- Apply the Unfold animation scheme in the Moderate category to all slides.
- Save the presentation to your Powerpoint Project 2 folder using the file name, Lab 2-3 Strength Training .
