Creating an Announcement with Resized Clip Art, a Bulleted List, and Color 

The owner of Zachary Sports Complex has requested that each  student in your class prepare an announcement advertising the sports complex.  The student that creates the announcement will receive a complimentary membership. You prepare the announcement shown in figure 1.

Hint: Remember, if you make a mistake while formatting the announcement, you can click the Undo button on the standard toolbar to undo your last action.

 

  1. Type the announcement shown in Figure 1, using the fonts and font sizes indicated in the figure. Check spelling as you type.

  1. Save the document to your Word/Project 1 folder with Lab 1-3 Training Camp Announcement as the file name.
  2. Change the font color of the headline to red, the body title to blue, and the last line of the announce­ment to green. Hint: Use Help to learn how to change the font color o£text.
  3. Add a brown double underline below the text, Space is limited.    Hint: Use Help to learn how to add a decorative underline to text.
  4. Add bullets to the three paragraphs of body copy. Hint: Use Help to learn how to add bullets to a list of paragraphs.
  5. Insert clip art of a baseball player between the headline and the body title line.
  6. Enlarge the graphic of the baseball player. If you make the graphic too large, the announcement may flow onto two pages. If this occurs, reduce the size of the graphic so the announcement fits on a single page.
  7. Save the announcement again with the same filename.
